Welcome to the Department of Physics, Electronics and Earth Sciences of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Fountain University Osogbo. Our Department is run by well-seasoned academics, technical and non-teaching staff. The Department has a well-furnished, equipped laboratory and workshop for teaching and research.
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Physics, Electronics and Earth Sciences commenced operation on 14th January 2008 with Eight (8) students and currently runs Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) programmes in:
At inception, the Department was headed by Dr M. K. Fasasi (Now a Professor), who was on one-year sabbatical leave from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
The Programmes run by the Department enjoy the National Universities Commission (NUC) FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS and have graduated several students. The Department has also recently submitted applications to the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run two (2) new Programmes, which are:

The entry requirements for UTME candidates shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to form the core subjects with credit in any other relevant science subject, at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent.

Candidates with a minimum of two A level passes (graded A-E) in relevant subjects (Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) at the GCE, IJMB, JUPEB, National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) and lower Credit in OND and NCE may be admitted into 200-level through Direct Entry.
We provide students with knowledge and skills base for further studies in Physics with Electronics, Engineering, Materials and Metallurgy, Geology and Geophysics, other multi-disciplinary areas involving their programme.
We develop in students the ability to apply their knowledge and skills to the solution of theoretical and practical problems in their chosen programme
