Fountain University Offers Staff Transportation Subsidy Amid Economic Turbulence

In a bid to cushion the effects of recent economic turbulence caused by the removal of the fuel subsidy and Naira floating in Nigeria, Fountain University, under the capable leadership of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, today announces a major transportation initiative for its staff.

In this groundbreaking, palliative move, University management will now shoulder the cost of transport, providing vehicles to transport staff members to work and back home. This plan demonstrates the University’s exceptional commitment to its employees’ wellbeing in challenging economic times.

To ensure maximum effectiveness, two vehicles will service two daily routes effectively from Tuesday, August 1, 2023:

Route 1:  Starting from Olaiya (Fakunle Bus Stop), through Ogo Oluwa, bypassing Africa (Overhead bridge Bus Stop), ending at the University.

Route 2: Initiating at Jaleyemi Hospital (Bus Stop), through Isale Osun (Osun Groove Bus Stop) to Ilesha Garage (Bus Stop) before culminating at the University.

In an effort to maintain punctuality and efficiency, these vehicles will pick up members of Staff at the first bus stop of each route by 7:30 AM every weekday.

Additionally, in a further act of consideration for its staff, management has adjusted the closing hours for janitorial services staff to 2 PM. Buses will be ready to transport them out of the school from 1:50 PM onwards via the same already established route.

These steps are a testament to Fountain University’s dedication to its employees during these challenging times. As it continues to adapt to the regional challenges, Fountain University remains steadfast in providing education excellence while advocating for the welfare of its staff.

Members of Staff are strongly encouraged to utilize this gesture offered by the Management.
