Fountain University emerges ‘best school’ at 2019 FCLA Awards

Fountain University has emerged as the ‘best school’ in the 2019 creativity week competition organized by the Future Creative Leaders Academy.

The 3-day advertising challenge which took place recently in Lagos, had students drawn from Universities in the West and Central African countries.

Three Mass Communication Students of Fountain University, Khaleelah Ahmed, Abdulrahman Toheeb and Omolana Ogundipe participated in this years’ challenge and beat other participants to win the University ‘Best School 2019’ in Institutions category.

A student in the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos, Funke Ademola emerged the Gold winner, while the duo of Ahmed Khaleelah and Abdulrahman Toheeb won the Silver and Bronze respectively.

The overall winner of the competition, Funke Ademola will be attending the Roger Hatchuel Future Creative Leaders Academy, in France while the first runner up, Ahmed Khaleelah will be sponsored on a trip to Dubai Lynx Festival.

The Vice Chancellor, Fountain University, Prof. Amidu Sanni on behalf of the management congratulated the students for making the University proud, adding that the students should not rest on their oars.

Prof. Sanni commended the staff of FUO Mass Communication Department for imparting the students with the best of practical communication skills, which explained the brilliant performance at the competition.

He said Fountain University winning the ‘Best University’ among other Universities that participated in the competition did not come as a surprise, as the university leads in learning and character, while others follow.
