Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede OFR FNAL

The University BOT has appointed Prof. Is-haq Olarewaju Oloyede; a lecturer and the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, north central Nigeria, as the (2nd) Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the 3rd Governing Council of Fountain University, Nigeria.

Prof. Oloyede succeeded Prof. Nurudeen Olorunnimbe Adedipe, who stepped down after meritorious service and successful completion of 2 terms of eight (8) years as the Pioneer Pro-Chancellor of the University on November 15, 2015.


Professor Oloyede is a Professor of Islamic Studies and a renowned academician.

Prior to his appointment as Pro-Chancellor & Chairman of Council of Fountain University, Osogbo, was the Immediate Past Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin.

He is the current Secretary-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) He had attended several training programmes across the nation.

He is a member of many learned and professional societies. He is a fellow of the Islamic Academy of Cambridge, United Kingdom; Fellow, Academy of Entrepreneurship; Fellow, Nigerian Academy of Letters; Member, Nigerian Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies (NATAIS); Member, Editorial Board, Centre for Islamic Legal Studies, ABU, Zaria, among, several others.

In 2005, Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede was appointed co – secretary of the National Political Reform Conference by President Olusegun Obasanjo. Also in 2006, he was appointed a Consultant by the National Universities Commission on Educational Reforms in Nigeria.

Currently, Professor Is-haq O.Oloyede is the Executive Secretary of National Inter -Religious Council (NIREC) and also the President of Association of African Universities (AAU).

He has authored and co-authored several articles in reputable local and international outlets.

Immediate Past Pro-Chancellor & Chairman of Governing Council – Professor Nurudeen ‘Nimbe ADEDIPE

Professor Nurudeen O. Adedipe is a Professor of Crop Physiology of repute. He was the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the then University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) now Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB); Chairman, Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities. He has served as Chairman, Planning and Implementation Committees for Crescent University, Abeokuta, Fountain University, Osogbo; Caleb University, Lagos; proposed University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Badagry, and proposed Warri University.

He was the Chairman, National Universities Commission (NUC) Standing Committee on Private Universities (SCOPU), as Visiting Professor (Capacity Building), 2004-2007. Professor Adedipe has served as Consultant to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO); the World Health Organization (WHO); United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Children’s  Fund (UNICEF); Ford Foundation, among others.

He has won many International awards, including the Pro-Mundi Beneficio Medal, Brazil. He has published widely and traveled extensively.
