Dress Code

All students must be properly dressed in line with the university dress code. As first offender, he/she shall be given a serious warning and, at the same time, lose related FIPS credits. When caught again for the same offence, he/she shall face one semester of suspension, and the parent shall be invited.

Acceptable Dress Code for Staff, Students and Visitors

Management, at its meeting held on Thursday, January 27, 2022/24, Jumada al “Ula 1443 AH, considered the resolution of the Senate on Dress Code for staff and students. Management reaffirmed that:

  1. General Dress Code for Students:
  • All students must adhere to the approved dress code as outlined in the Student Handbook, displayed on billboards, and communicated through various platforms.
  • Female students are required to wear hijab that is non-transparent and covers the head up to the bust. Scarfs, turbans, and caps are not permitted.
  • Male students are expected to dress corporately in matching ties or in native attire with caps, except on Wednesdays and Fridays when sportswear and Jumu’ah-compliant outfits are allowed, respectively.
  • Short, transparent, tight clothing and artificial hair and nails are not permitted for female students.
  • Rubber/bathroom slippers are prohibited in academic areas between 7 am and 4 pm on weekdays.
  • Male students are prohibited from having unkempt or outrageous hairstyles.
  1. General Dress Code for Staff:
  • Staff members, as enforcers of the dress code, are expected to adhere to official dress code rules, which may include native, Western, Oriental, or other appropriate attire.
  1. Guidance for Visitors:
  • Visitors to the University will be informed about the dress code courteously to ensure compliance without embarrassment.
  1. Prohibited Items:
  • Tight/pencil, ripped jeans, tight and short skirts, and clothing with immoral, outrageous, or obscene inscriptions are strictly prohibited.
  • Billboards displaying images of acceptable and unacceptable attire and hairstyles will be provided to new students at registration.
  1. Enforcement and Reporting:
  • Any member of the community found undermining the enforcement of the dress code should be reported to the appropriate authority for necessary action.
  • We appreciate your cooperation in upholding our Dress Code Policy to maintain a conducive learning and working environment.
