FUO VC performs groundbreaking ceremony of Multi-Million Naira Tennis Court Facility donated by NASFAT Youth

Fountain University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, led a groundbreaking ceremony to kickstart the construction of a state-of-the-art Tennis court on the university campus. The Tennis court, which boasts a capacity of 100 seats, was generously donated by the NASFAT Youth Wing.

The ceremony took place earlier today, with the Vice Chancellor spearheading the event. The Registrar, Mr. Sherrif Adenekan, Bursar, Mrs. Silifat Ali-Balogun, Acting Librarian, Mr. Sirajudeen Bakrin and other esteemed guests from the university were present at the momentous occasion.

Representatives from the NASFAT organization led by the NASFAT Youth Wing President, Mr. Kabir Yusuf attended the ceremony as well.

The project, worth an impressive sum of 19.5 million naira, marked an important step in enhancing the extracurricular activities available for Fountain University students. With the addition of the tennis court, students will have access to a modern and well-equipped facility to hone their skills and foster a healthy competitive spirit.

Prof. Karim expressed her gratitude towards the NASFAT Youth Wing for their generous contribution. She highlighted the significance of the tennis court, noting that it would not only provide students with a recreational outlet but also encourage physical fitness and teamwork.

The Vice Chancellor also thanked the dignitaries from NASFAT for their commitment and support in making the project a reality. Their involvement demonstrates their dedication to fostering the holistic development of students and the community at large.

The groundbreaking ceremony signifies the beginning of construction activities, which are expected to be completed within 8 weeks. Upon completion, students can expect to enjoy a top-of-the-line tennis court that meets international standards.
