About the Department


The Department was established in 2023 in response to the growing demand for a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to the study of history and international affairs. The department was founded with the aim of equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to understand and engage with the complex global landscape.

  1. B.A. History and International Studies

In addition to UTME requirements, candidates should possess five O’ Level Credits Passes in WASSCE, GCE, SSCE, SAISSCE (NBAIS), NECO or its equivalent credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and History/Government/ Civic Education, at not more than two sittings.


Five SSC credit passes in Arts subjects, two of which must be at the Advanced Level and should be in History, Government, Civic Education CRS, IRS and any Nigerian Language. JUPEB, IJMB, FUO DIPLOMA and similar certificates from accredited institutions or a minimum of merit grade in University/ National Diploma, NCE in relevant fields are also accepted.
