An overview of the diverse range of models available in the sanitation village

Conventional Water Treatment Model

Demonstrates the step-by-step process of treating water at water treatment plants to ensure its safety and suitability for human consumption. Visitors can observe the various stages of water treatment, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical treatment.

Incinerators and Biogas Generation Model

Showcases various types of incinerators for waste disposal and management, as well as a model demonstrating biogas generation from wastewater through anaerobic digestion. Visitors can learn about sustainable waste management practices and renewable energy solutions.

Sanitary Well Model

Showcases the features and components of a sanitary well, emphasizing the importance of safe drinking water sources and proper well construction and maintenance. Visitors can learn about groundwater protection and water quality management.

Composting Model

Demonstrates the process of composting organic waste to produce nutrient-rich fertilizer, promoting sustainable waste management and soil enrichment practices. This model emphasizes the importance of composting for reducing waste and improving soil health.

Toilet/Latrine Models

Showcases a variety of toilet and latrine designs, ranging from traditional pit latrines to modern flush toilets. These models educate visitors on different sanitation practices and technologies for excreta disposal, emphasizing the importance of proper sanitation for disease prevention and community health.

Building Types Model

Represents different types of buildings, categorized as Type A, B, and C, each showcasing different architectural styles, materials, and construction methods commonly used in Nigeria. This model provides insights into building design and construction practices for environmental sustainability and resilience.

Slaughter Slab Model

Illustrates the design and layout of a slaughter slab for safe and hygienic animal slaughtering practices, including drainage systems and waste management. This model promotes proper food safety and sanitation practices in meat processing.

Roofing Types Model

Displays different types of roofing materials and styles, including traditional and modern options. Visitors can learn about the characteristics and benefits of various roofing materials, as well as their impact on building performance and energy efficiency.

Bonding Methods Model

Demonstrates different techniques for joining building materials, such as bricks and blocks, including traditional methods like mud mortar and modern methods like cement mortar and adhesive bonding. This model highlights the importance of proper bonding for structural integrity and durability.

Burial Ground Model

Provides insights into the design and organization of burial grounds for both Muslims and Christians, highlighting cultural and religious considerations in cemetery management. Visitors can learn about burial traditions and practices for respectful and dignified interment.
