Introduction

Fountain University Centre for Entrepreneurship Development is a central ideation hub that seeks to empower students through the provision of opportunities and forum that cultures entrepreneurship development, talent discovery, and skill acquisition, established as a forward thinking initiative that strives to empower the young ambassadors of Fountain University with essential relatable skills as a vital tool for job creation and self-employment.

The creation of the Centre was embedded with a scope of training the students to become global leaders in nurturing entrepreneurial excellence and driving economic transformation.

To empower innovators among students by providing them with tools, knowledge, and networks necessary to transform their ideas into successful ventures.

Objectives of FOUCED

The primary objective of FOUCED is to produce graduates who are adequately equipped to initiate, engage, and provide leadership in the entrepreneurship and development process and to create in the student ability to create their own personal businesses.
The specific objectives are to:

1. Develop entrepreneurial competencies in students.
2. Develop student business leadership attributes.
3. Impact on student interpersonal skills for working in various organizations.
4. Equip graduates with the required skills for efficient industrial extension services.
5. Promote an entrepreneurial mindset that encourages students to think creatively and propel innovation.
6. Organise workshops, mentorships, and training that enhance the entrepreneurial skills of the students.
7. Provide facilities and resources that encourage students to practice their skills.
8. Provide guidance to students on processes involved in setting up a business enterprise.

Our Services

FOUCED engages in the following services but is not limited to;

1. Data management guide for small business.
2. Students’ entrepreneurship and self-employment training in the areas of management, accounting, marketing, record keeping, work-study, product costing, personnel management and quality control, food preservation.
3. Entrepreneurship training for the retirees.
4. Vocational skills training in fashion designing, graphics designing, photography, leather works, catering, web designing, aluminum fabrication, wood works, paint making, tie and dye, cosmetology, branding, bread making, brick making, OBD, food processing, and printing
5. Free mentorship to students on business creation and management.
