On behalf of the entire Fountain University community, I warmly welcome you to the Department of Nursing, a vital part of the College of Basic Medical and Health Sciences (COBMEHS). Our department was established in response to the growing national demand for well-trained nursing professionals capable of meeting our society’s diverse and dynamic healthcare needs. Requirements

  1. BNSc. Nursing Science

You need to have at least five (5) credit passes in your Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

UTME Subjects: Use of English, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.

Current Status and Future Prospects

The Department of Nursing at Fountain University is in its third year of the academic program, following successful resource verification exercises by the NUC on December 7, 2020, and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria on December 23, 2021. Our students are exposed to a variety of practical experiences in the field of nursing, and they are being groomed to provide comprehensive and standardized feedback to the public about their findings. This hands-on training is integral to our mission of producing well-rounded, competent, and reflective nursing professionals.
