FUO INTERNATIONAL GRADUATES’ SEMINAR SERIES

We are excited to announce that the maiden edition of the FUO International Graduates’ Seminar Series will be coming up on the 23rd of February, 2022. And it would be an honour to host our first discussant, Mr. Deng Zheyuan from the University of Florida.

Deng earned his B.A. in history and Arabic (2015) and M.A. in African history (2018) from Peking University, China. His M. A. thesis focused on the history of collecting and studying of the Arabic manuscripts in Northern Nigeria. And his current research interests include urban spaces and lived religion, religious encounters, Afro-Asian connections in Southwestern Nigeria.
