FUO Shines Bright at Osun Inter-Collegiate Games, Emerges 2nd Overall with 12 Medals
Fountain University Osogbo (FUO) has once again demonstrated its excellence in sports, emerging 2nd overall at the Osun Inter-Collegiate Games.
The university’s contingent returned home with an impressive haul of 12 medals, comprising 6 gold and 6 bronze medals.
The Head Coach of the university, Alh. Ganiyu Adedokun, broke the news, expressing his pride and satisfaction with the team’s performance.
“I am thrilled with the outcome of the games. Our students have shown remarkable dedication, hard work, and teamwork, and this achievement is a result of their efforts,” he said.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Olayinka Karim, was overjoyed when she received the news. She commended the students, coaches, and the entire university community for their support and contributions to the team’s success.
Prof. Karim reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting sports development and excellence, stating that FUO would continue to provide the necessary support and resources to enable its students to excel in their chosen sports.
The Osun Inter-Collegiate Games provided a platform for students from various tertiary institutions in Osun State to compete in different sports disciplines.
FUO’s impressive performance at the games is a reflection of the university’s growing reputation as a hub for academic and sporting excellence.
