Abdul-Ganiyy Akanni Agbaje

Abdul-Ganiyy Akanni Agbaje obtained his First and Second Degrees in Accounting at the University of Lagos, Akoka in 1985 and 2000 respectively. He is currently on his PhD in Accounting at Lead City University, Ibadan. He started his career at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, Ibadan as an Accounts Clerk in 1975 and was there until 1980 when he left for further educational programme. After obtaining his B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Accounting, he joined Livestock Feeds Plc. (a subsidiary of PFIZER International Plc.) as Assistant Accountant in April 1986. In 1989, he was promoted to become the Branch Accountant of the company in Kaduna. He joined WorthTrust Nigeria Limited in 1993 as a Commercial Manager, after which he left for Alli-Oluwafuyi, Ibisomi, Onibon & Co. (Chartered Accountants) in 1996 as a Consultant.

He joined A-OHL Management Consultants as a Consultant on contract appointment in 2002. He was appointed as the Director of Studies, Lagos State Polytechnic, External Services between 2005 and 2012. With this appointment, he was representing the AOA Educational Services Limited that was contracted to run the Lagos State Polytechnic Annex at Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

He began his working (academic) career at the Lagos State University, External Services as Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance in 2003. He took up an appointment in 2007 at the Distance Learning Institute of the University of Lagos as an adjunct lecturer, the appointment he left thereafter to join the services of the Fountain University Osogbo in the Department of Accounting and Finance as Lecturer II from February 2015 to date.
