ADEBAYO LATEEF ABIMBOLA

Adebayo Lateef Abimbola graduated with Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance in 1985. He had his Master’s Degree in 1991. He later studied Law and graduated with Bachelor Degree in Law in 2000, all from the University of Lagos. He completed his Law School Programme in February, 2003, and was called to the Nigeria Bar in March, 2003.

Adebayo is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) having completed its examinations in December, 1986, and also became an Associate of the Chartered Institute Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (CISAN) in 1993 having completed its examinations the same year.

Adebayo started his working carrier with Wema Bank Plc. in June, 1989 and also worked with Broad Bank Limited (now part of Union Bank Plc) between 1991 and year 2000. He later worked with Prudent/ Skye Bank (now Polaris bank) between 2001 and 2008 and finally with First Bank Plc between 2008 and 2012.  Adebayo worked in the different areas of banking, covering branch operations, audit and inspections, cash and treasury management, retail banking, public sector, credit and marketing and credit risk management.

 Adebayo joined the service of Fountain University Osogbo, in the Department of Accounting & Finance in 2014. His research interest covers Financial and Liquidity Management, Capital Market, Working Capital Management and Corporate Governance.
