VC Celebrates FUO Team for Excellent Performance at Nigerian Private Universities Games Championship

The Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Fountain University team for their remarkable achievement in the Nigerian Private Universities Games (NPUGA) championship held at Elizade University.

The team, led by the University’s Chief Coach, Alh. Ganiyu Adedokun emerged 4th with 10 medals to their credit at the end of the championship which lasted 4 days.

The Vice Chancellor noted that the outstanding performance of the team which resulted in a fourth-place finish, is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and firm commitment to excellence.

“Your resilience, skill, and sportsmanship have earned you well-deserved recognition and admiration. Your determination to succeed amidst stiff competition is truly commendable, and you have made our institution proud”, she added.

Prof. Karim also expressed her sincere appreciation to the sports committee, head coach, and other coaches for their tireless efforts, dedication, and expertise in preparing the athletes for the championship.

“Your guidance, motivation, and strategic planning have been invaluable in achieving this remarkable feat. As we celebrate this momentous achievement, let us continue to strive for excellence in all endeavors and uphold the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication.”, she said.

The second edition of the Nigerian Private Universities Games had a total number of 10 participating teams from Lagos, Ondo, Oyo, Edo, Abuja, and Osun States.
