Fountain University has commenced the construction of a 30-room female hostel, valued at 366.8 million naira, as part of its efforts to enhance the living conditions of its students. The project, which is being sponsored by the university’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), is expected to be completed within 24 weeks.
The groundbreaking ceremony, which took place earlier today, was performed by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Olayinka Karim. The event was attended by members of the university’s management team, staff, students, and community stakeholders, who had earlier gathered for a special Jumuah Service as part of the 14th Convocation Ceremony.
The new hostel is designed to further provide a comfortable and conducive living environment for the university’s female students, and is a alluding to the institution’s commitment to providing world-class facilities and services to its students.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Karim expressed her gratitude to the university’s management team, staff, and students for their support and cooperation.
“This project is a significant milestone in our efforts to enhance the living conditions of our students,” Prof. Karim said. “We are committed to providing our students with the best possible facilities and services, and this new hostel is proof of that commitment.
