You are welcome to the page of College of Basic Medical and Health Sciences (COBMHES), Fountain University, Osogbo.

COBMEHS is one of the new colleges in the University. It has gone through many developmental stages. The vision of the college is to be a progressive and distinguish centre which emphasizes scientific values that contribute to improving health and lives of every individual, and enhances the welfare of the society.

The college seeks to translate this vision, through preparing distinguish graduates in teaching, training, counselling and scientific research in its undergraduate programmes. It also seeks to be a centre of excellence that uses scientific research to develop sustainable systems, and programmes that meet the needs of the society and enhances its values. It provide practical training of theoretical, pre-clinical and clinical subjects with strict adherence to all necessary safety measures.

COBMHES has undergone resource academic accreditation and has obtained approval from Nigeria University Council to run the four programmes: Nursing Sciences, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Sciences and Environmental Health Sciences. It is now working on the second cycle (Council accreditation) for these programmes.

Quality assurance is one of the fundamental principles in any institution whose duty is to educate and graduate individuals’ ready to take his or her position and responsibilities in the society. Thus, COBMHES seeks to excel in all the programmes and services it offer through proper planning and consultation with partners inside and outside the University; and the continuing review and development that follows. The college has initiated the participation in many research project that have great impacts on the community. It also continually organized student seminars, as well as, community projects and activities.

The college is proud of its staff from academic, technical and administrative cadres who are contributing immensely in achieving the vision and mission, and translating its plans and goals into reality.
