Fountain University has reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility with the official handover of a motorised borehole facility to the Oke Baale division of the Nigerian Police Force in Osogbo, Osun State.
Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim led the University’s Management Team in commissioning the project, which aims to provide a reliable source of clean water for the police division and surrounding community.
Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Oladoyin Akanni, who received the facility on behalf of the Osun State Commissioner of Police, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the gesture.
This project holds special significance for DPO Akanni, who will be retiring from active service this week after 35 years of dedicated service.
“This donation reflects Fountain University’s dedication to supporting our community and enhancing the lives of those who serve and protect us,” said Professor Karim. “We are proud to contribute to the well-being of our nation’s law enforcement officers.”
The motorised borehole facility is part of Fountain University’s ongoing efforts to promote social responsibility and community development. This initiative underscores the University’s mission to make a positive impact beyond its campus.
