OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT HONORS FOUNTAIN UNIVERSITY WITH PRESTIGIOUS MERIT AWARD

In a move that underscores the state government’s commitment to recognizing excellence, Fountain University has been selected to receive the prestigious Osun State Merit Award.

According to a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, the award is in recognition of the University’s exceptional contributions to the development of Osun State and its exemplary achievements in the education sector.

The letter, signed by Honourable Teslim Igbalaye, Secretary to the State Government of Osun State and Chairman, Second Anniversary Committee of Governor Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke, praised Fountain University’s dedication to excellence in education, research, and community service.

“Fountain University’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration has enhanced academic excellence and positively impacted the State,” the letter stated. “The University’s initiatives in research and partnerships with industry have driven advancements that address national challenges, enriching both student learning and societal wellbeing.”

The award presentation ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, 25th November, 2024, at 3:00 pm at the Adolak Event Centre, Gbongan/Ibadan Expressway, Osogbo, Osun State.

Reacting to the development, the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, expressed her gratitude to the Osun State Government for the recognition. “We are deeply humbled and grateful to receive this prestigious award,” she said. “This recognition is yet another proof of the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students.”
