NASFAT YOUTHS PROPOSE CONSTRUCTION OF MULTI-MILLION NAIRA SPORT FACILITY IN FUO AHEAD OF 2023 NASFAT GAMES

Today, the National Youth Executive of the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) paid a courtesy visit to the newly-appointed Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim.

During the visit, they lauded the University’s commitment to providing inspirational leadership and support for young people as well as their intention to expand the reach and impact of their programmes across the nation.

The delegation led by the Amir, Mr. Kabir Raji made known their plans to have Fountain University host the 2023 edition of the NASFAT Games (NASGA) due to be held from September 22nd to 29th, 2023.

First hosted in 2017 at Fountain University, Osogbo, the game aims to strengthen the relationship between young members of the NASFAT Muslim community, foster trust and good relations a well as help boost the public image of the University.

Mr. Raji assured the Vice Chancellor that the game would serve as a great platform for NASFAT youths, sportsmen, and Nigerian Youths at large to display their sporting excellence and enjoy a sense of intellectual engagement cum networking.

To make the event a huge success, the Amir further disclosed that the executives have proposed the construction of a 28-million naira basketball and lawn tennis court in the University and asked for the support of the university as well as other well-meaning Nigerians.

Prof. Karim, a National medalist and strong lover of Basketball commended the proposals, expressing her utmost appreciation for their visit and thanked the NASFAT Youth executive for their support and interest in bringing their vision for the young people of Nigeria to fruition.

She further assured the executive that the University will be fully committed to the success of the 2023 NASFAT Games and look forward to providing moral, financial, and material support where necessary.

She concluded her remarks by pledging her undivided commitment to the success of the initiative.
