Fountain University’s Muslim Student Society (MSSN) successfully organized its first-ever intervarsity Quran competition as part of the annual Dawah Week program. The event took place on Sunday at the Namadi Sambo Multi-Purpose Hall within the university premises.
The competition featured both senior and junior categories, marking the inaugural event of the Dawah Week celebrations. After intense competition, Osun State University (Uniosun) emerged victorious in the senior category, while the University of Ibadan secured first place in the junior category. The winning teams achieved impressive scores of 97% and 99%, respectively, surpassing eight other participating institutions.
In the senior category, Federal Polytechnic Ede secured second place with a total of 95%, followed by Fountain University in third place with 94.5 points. In the junior category, UniOsun took second place with 98 points, while Obafemi Awolowo University finished with 97%.
This milestone event showcased the talent and dedication of students from various institutions, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and community among participants.
