President Tinubu Appoints FUO’s Lecturer as National Population Commissioner

President Bola Tinubu has sworn in the Head, Department of Public Administration of Fountain University, Dr. Raheem Tadeshe as National Population Commissioner.

Dr. Tadeshe was sworn in just before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting in the Council Chamber on Monday.

The short ceremony was witnessed by the Vice President, Kassim Shettima, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, cabinet ministers and other government officials.

Reacting to the development, the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Prof. Olayinka Karim expressed her delight at the appointment while wishing him the best on the national assignment.

“This appointment is no doubt alluding to your competence, hard work and commitment to community service, I have no doubt that you will further advance the good cause of diligently serving our great nation with this new role.”, she said.

As a National Population Commissioner, Dr. Tadeshe will play a crucial role in shaping the country’s population policies and programmes.
