Kwara State Government Enlists FUO Lecturer as Member of Muslim Pilgrims’ Board

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has listed a Lecturer from the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies of Fountain University, Dr. Ahmad Agbaje as a member of the newly inaugurated State Muslim Pilgrims’ Board.

This is according to a press release issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of the State, Modupe Joel.

The inauguration of the new board members was conducted by the Deputy Governor of the State, Mr. Kayode Alabi at the Deputy Governor’s office, Ilorin on Tuesday, April 22, 2024.

According to Joel, the deputy governor noted that the appointment of the new board members was purely based on public trust and the confidence that they would deliver beyond expectations.

“Governor AbdulRazaq urged the newly inaugurated members of the Muslim Pilgrims’ Board to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the execution of the important public service that has been assigned to them.”

“He also enjoined them to see their new assignment as an act of worship as they are expected to not only endure the many realities of serving diverse people with varying values and needs but to also ensure the overall welfare of Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.”

Receiving the news, the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim expressed her delight while wishing Dr. Agbaje good luck on his new assignment.
