VC RENEWS COMMITMENT TO PITCH FOUNTAIN UNIVERSITY TO ENVIABLE HEIGHT THROUGH REFORMS, COLLABORATIONS, OTHERS.

A 58-member delegation including Staff and Students from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Ilorin yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Professor Olayinka Ramota Karim.

The team was led by the faculty’s dean, Professor Fatimah Adekola, who came to congratulate Professor Karim on her appointment as the VC of Fountain University, a post she assumed after leaving her position as dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at UniIlorin.

During the visit, members of the delegation gave emotional and heartwarming goodwill messages while expressing their excitement for Professor Karim’s new role in the academic world. The group also presented her with various gifts as a token of their congratulations.

In addition to expressing gratitude to the delegation, Professor Karim highlighted her achievements since assuming office in the last few weeks. She noted that her main focus is on ensuring that Fountain University is positioned to become a leading institution of higher learning in Nigeria and beyond.

Professor Karim emphasized that she intends to initiate reforms and introduce innovative approaches that would help deliver on the mission and vision of the institution. She added that she would like to establish partnerships with relevant institutions, both locally and internationally, which would help the university to thrive and become a centre of excellence in higher education.

The visit of the delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture, the University of Ilorin signifies the importance of building strong partnerships and collaborations among academic institutions. It also demonstrated the goodwill and support for Professor Karim as she continues to lead Fountain University towards greater heights.
